Svevo Romano
New Media Director
Over the last ten years, Svevo has been cultivating an exciting career as a new media developer, animator, graphic designer and interactive media specialist. He has been involved in numerous projects: producing animated cartoons for Grundy (TV production company), RAI (Italian national TV network) and consulting on new media developments for COPA (Architectural Association).
In 2005, he moved from Naples to London to further his lifelong passion for technology and interactive media. Since then, he has worked as a designer / developer for Langland advertising, where he played an integral part in two multi award winning healthcare campaigns (including the 2006 RX Club of New York Award of Excellence, and the bronze 2007 IPA Best of Health Awards). More recently he has worked as a consultant for Apple.
Svevo has a strong design ethic based on functionality and the importance of striking a balance between what "looks good and what makes sense". As a member of the ODP (Open Directory Project) he values the "key aspects of web marketing strategies and maintaning web standards".
Marc Schaller
Creative Director
Marc received a BA (Hons) in History of Art from the University of Leeds and went on to gain an MA (with distinction) in Typo/Graphic Design from the London College of Printing. He has exhibited art & design work across the UK and lectured on his MA thesis "The Typographic Aspects of the Screenplay", to leading figures in the design community including design author Ian Noble and Hamish Muir formerly of 8VO.
With nearly a decade of commercial experience in brand communication, graphic design and art direction, Marc's design work stretches across various creative disciplines including: brand identity, advertising, packaging, publishing and website design. He has designed brand identities, promotional graphics, packaging and web applications for well known clients including: ASDA, BBC, Boots, BP, Pfizer, Roche, Tesco and Unilever.
After stints as a designer and art director at several well known London agencies including: 4Creative (Channel Four) and KBW (advertising), Marc joined Svevo in 2006 to set up Mavo.
